University Master in Microelectronics: Design and Applications of Micro/Nanometric Systems

The primary objective of the Master is to train students to achieve high scientific-technical qualifications at a teaching, professional, or research level, providing them with a modern, updated, and useful vision of Micro and Nanoelectronic Science and Technology. In particular, the aim is to train the student in the disciplines of conceiving, designing, verifying, manufacturing, and testing integrated circuits and systems, especially in sub-micrometric technologies, as well as their integration into the applications that demand them. The degree achieves a job placement rate of over 90%.

The Master's degree is designed to be completed entirely online. All subjects are taught online, except for company internships, which are in-person but optional. The Master's program uses the Virtual Teaching platform of the University of Seville. The online nature of the program provides flexible scheduling, as students set their own learning pace day by day. There is also a personalized tutoring program for those students who require it, through which they will be mentored and academically guided by one of the Master's professors. Should direct communication be necessary (video conference, phone call, etc.), a schedule that suits both the professor and the student will be arranged for each specific subject.

Academic Structure

The Master consists of a total of 60 ECTS credits. The mandatory training comprises 33 credits in subjects and the Master's Thesis. Additionally, the student must take 18 elective credits chosen from the specialization lines offered.

Compulsory Subjects and Master's Thesis

The core training consists of the following mandatory subjects (33 ECTS) and the Master's Thesis (9 ECTS):

Specialization Lines (Electives)

The student may choose their 18 elective credits by deepening in one of the following lines:

Line 1: Design of Analog, Mixed-Signal, and RF Circuits

Line 2: System Design

External Academic Internships

Likewise, there is the possibility of carrying out External Academic Internships (6 ECTS) as part of the elective credits.
