ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025The academic year is divided into two 4-month periods. The compulsory courses are taken during the 1st term (October-February) whereas the concentrations (electives) are taken during the 2nd term (February-June). Students have several annual calls to which they can apply to undergo evaluation in a course: In each course the specific evaluation calendar in accordance to the previous calls will be indicated, although all are subject to the deadlines for delivery of official records indicated at the end of this page. You can consult more details about the timing, the available calls, the 3rd call available for repeaters, the registration regulations of the US, etc., in the FAQs section. The Master's Thesis begins in the 2nd term. For those students newly enrolled in the Master's Degree and in the "Master's Thesis" course, at the beginning of the 2nd term a descriptive offer of works and tutors will be published, and a period of applications will be opened to make the adscription to the students. There will also be a prior period for students to propose topics and find tutors for their Master's Thesis work. Students who are not new to the Master's Degree and who do not have a Master's Thesis project already assigned will have a similar offer and assignment period at the beginning of the 1st semester. In accordance with the regulations in force, the Master's Thesis requires a public defense (face-to-face or by videoconference), which can take place in various calls throughout the academic year. You can consult more details about the calls available for defense of Master's Thesis works, the application regulations, etc, in the Master's Thesis section of this website.
Teaching Methodology and Course TimingThe Master makes use of the e-learning plataform of the University of Seville (BlackBoard Learn). Generally speaking, in each course the thematic units will be released as learning objectives have been covered. To this end, each course will include evaluation procedures that teachers deem appropriate for the targeted contents. These procedures will be published early enough in “Enseñanza Virtual”. The interaction with the teacher is intended to be as seamless as possible, being e-mail the quickest mechanism for communication. Tutoring or other means for online interaction can be arranged via email.
